I had been using Yahoo! Personals for about six months. I tried it because I was tired of meeting the wrong people. I wanted a place where I had an option to filter out the people who weren't right for me. I wanted to get to know a guy first, instead of being physically attracted to him the first time I see him.

Ultimately, I had reached the point where I had totally given up on love. I was thinking that I would never find a man even halfway decent. I decided to cancel my Yahoo! Personals subscription. While I was waiting for my month to end, I received an email from a gentleman who was eager to find out more about me. I replied and asked Tim what he had seen in me that interested him. He wanted to find a Vietnamese woman to be the friend or lover who could help him recollect our Vietnamese culture. I, on the other hand, was secretly hoping for an excuse to find happiness again.

We anxiously exchanged emails for a couple of days until we were comfortable trading phone numbers. The first real conversation lasted until 5:00 a.m. and continued for days! I was so captivated and bedazzled by Tim's wisdom and humor that his physical appearance wasn't an issue anymore.

Soon after, we arranged a meeting for dinner at a place halfway between us. The first time I saw him, I felt a sense of peace. He was what I pictured him to be. He's handsome and sweet.

That night with Tim seemed so short. It was already midnight before we knew it. The evening ended with a hug and a reassurance that we would definitely see each other again. Since then we have gradually learned more about one another and couldn't be happier.

Tim has turned out to be one of the sweetest, most compassionate and loving men I have ever met. He spends most of his time working for a hospital and lives life to its fullest. I figured, out of a billion women in this world, Tim chose me. The love we built together can never be replaced for another.

He is the truest treasure of all and I am the luckiest woman to be sharing life's adventures with him. Now our days are filled with so much love and laughter. When we are together, the hugs and kisses never end. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would find a man that most women spend most of their lives looking for. It is a great blessing to have such a wonderful man in my life.
